Katiekat, Who is deciding what and how they are to deal with and try to change Sean's behavior? Is it the teacher or is the school psych or someone from Sped doing it?
If its just the teacher trying things and they don't seem to be working, you may need to get a 504 or IEP with a specific behavior modification plan. If its the psych or a Sped teacher, you could talk to them and ask if they would consider setting one up if there isn't any noticeble improvement soon.

CG, It is a combination of the teacher, psychologist, head of special services and info from us on what seems to work at home.We meet once a month (all of the above plus the principal)to talk about how things are going. Last week was first meeting since the changes had been made. Next one is 1st week of Dec. so we will see if there's any improvement. I said before I was disappointed in how things were handled but at this point I am much happier about what they are doing. I think a 504 is definitely in his future especially since next year he will be full day and he can barely make it through 2 1/2 hours.

I am sure I did read that in one of your earlier posts on this thread. Sorry, sometimes I have read so many posts by different people that I forget who said what. I do remember you saying that before, now that you reminded me.
It seems that with everyone working together like that, you should be able to find the right course to take.

Katie,
Becca has been on a 504 plan since 5th grade and it has really been great. With the 504 plan it gives teachers specified responsiblities that are required of them legally to aid the children. So far the teachers my daughter has had have been very cooperative and Becca is doing very well. I hope whatever plan you choose works well for your son too. Wishing you all the best. Hope this coming week is a good one for you and Sean.
