adhd actions and teenage actions.
my dd is 12 going on 13 and she has super wonderful days and then out of no where and explosion happens, she yells, pouts calls all names, slams doors, etc, then about half an hour to an hour later all is fine.
some is adhd related but man if this is teenage moodiness I am not going to make it the next couple of years.
i lowered her dose of meds, she is doing very well is school, but this stuff at home is so unpredictable it scares me.

I think it does sound like pretty typical teenage behavior I hate to say. No good advise to give you. Just a storm you may have to endure.  I hope someone else will have some insight to help you out here. |

I have started 2 posts JUST like this in the past! My daughter is 12 as well & it SO hard to tell when its ADD related or just preteen moodiness/attitude. I really think most of it is preteen stuff. Their hormones are going haywire & their bodies have to adjust. When my daughter explodes like that I send her off to be by herself until it blows over & then I sit her down & talk to her. I found that it just makes the storm stronger if I try to correct her in the midst of the attitude! Good luck to you (and to me)! At least we can cry on each others shoulders for the next few years!

We will, Farrah. As soon as all the holiday madness is over & I have some time & don't feel like falling asleep just because I stopped moving for a minute, I will be GLAD to talk with you! Maybe we can both gain some insight into the pre teen craziness!
