I have to update U on where my 13 year old is on the testing we talked about - thank goodness u kn ow about this stuff!!! She has had 3 testings and is schedule for 1 more after the holiday weekend!!! Her teacher (my friend) told me that an evaluation sheet went to each of her teachers and the last testing should be done next week. My girl is a talker and was telling me about the tests and she said she had 1 where the school physc asks her who the person is that stole from the rich to give to the poor and she told me she was hungry when she took the test and said Red Robin (which is a local resteraunt in the PNW). I laughed and said OK, so what was the answer to the next question? Was it lasagna??? I am hoping to have a meeting to discuss the results before the xmas break and see how we can help her with her math issues. I just am hoping it is easy to get over and that I did not pass on the adhd gene??? Hey lillian - thanks for answering my questions in the past on this stuff - I am outta my element, but I am committed to helpin my daughter at all costs so she can be the successful individual that she will always be!!!!!!!!!!!

Snake chasing? Why? I love snakes....well...I wouldn't want one for a pet. Maybe I should be asking this in the chat board but your post made me laugh and I have only had a couple sips out of my first cup of coffee. (I'm typically a HUGE grouch until I have cup #3 and nothing can make me laugh) I can't stop laughing....you said that so dramatically.... Snake chasing!!!

Snake chasing? Red Robin? You and your daughter sound like you would be a lot of fun to be around. LOL
I think its cute that your daughter was hungry so she said red robin. I love it!

That's hysterical, Lcdc! Some psych gave my son an ink blot test and had to ditch the results because whenever the psych asked my son what he saw, my son replied, "Not much!" or "A bunch of dots." ;D I don't know what kind of test they were giving your daughter, but it sounds like some kind of IQ test. Boy, you're lucky they are getting on with the testing so quickly. A lot of times it takes schools sixty days to complete it.

She finished the testing and the last item is that i have to fill out a BASC - II form and return it in the morning to the school physc, then we have another meeting. I will let u know what is up - she keeps getting further behind in math and i am having a heck of a time helping her. The math books and papers they use in our state do not have sample p[roblems and chapters like when we were kids so i cannot figure out how to help her and my patience is shot by the time homework comes around. It amazes me that i am in a science based career and i cannot even help my own kid with her math??
