I got my childs report card and she is not doing well and without meds she is everywhere and very defiant. The more behavior mod group is not working either for getting rewards for everything is not teaching much and her teachers are stressed. So I called the University and told them I am done with the study and why since it is not benefiting my child. I was told if that was my choice they can switch the groups since they do not want to lose my child. She is now going into the med group as of tommorow or wednesday after I pick up the meds they are giving me. She is going back on the RitalinLA the one I liked at 10 MG. I was told afterwards quitting if things do not change was the magic words only I wish i knew it sooner, argg.
As for getting the meds from the university it depends we are getting a snow storm today so wheather permitting. I also have to take my child for a physical exam first. that is the update.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear she's not been doing well, Jill. BUT, I'm so glad you can get her back on meds & still stay in the study! Thanks for the update & keep us filled in on how she's doing!

I know you toughed it out for some time and I don't blame you for putting your foot down. I think you have been nothing but fair and I'm so glad they are switched her to the meds you like.
Hopefully, now you won't have to worry so much about school issues. Thanks so much for the update....I was just thinking about you a few minutes ago and wondering how things were going.

I am so glad she is back on the meds. I bet she is a much happier child. I do wish things had worked out so she didn't need them but at least now she won't be miserable because she is forced into no meds after being on them.
I can't imagine having something like that which made my life so much easier and then being told I couldn't have it and having to struggle again.

I know you have made the right decision, Jill. If your daughter does that much better on meds, then that's what she needs. I hope things start improving very soon. Many hugs your way! This has been a tough few months!!!
